What is Central Voice?

Central Voice is a collection of visually engaging, interactive digital assessment activities thoughtfully developed by Educational Psychologists to enable professionals to capture the voice of children and young people in relation to their lives. Central Voice activities can be used for in-person and/or remote work with children.

Central Voice is designed for professionals who:

  • Work with children and young people aged 4-14 years.

  • Wish to capture the voices of children and young people to inform decisions around their needs, such as:

    • Education, Health and Care needs assessments

    • Annual Reviews

  • Are looking for engaging and interactive ways of assessing children’s views and perceptions of themselves and their needs.

  • Are looking for visual tools that are compatible with remote assessment practices.

Activities are grouped into four colour coded categories: About Me, Learning at School, My Social World, and Me and My Feelings. You are invited to explore the Central Voice user portal where you will find:

  • 2 free activities: My Amazing Strengths and School Tasks: Easy or Hard

  • A Starter pack of 8 activities: 2 free activities above, as well as Finish the Sentence, Me and My Friendships, What Feeds my Volcano, What Helps Me Learn, How I Feel at School, and Social Strengths and Needs.
